Bjork“Hidden Place”

off the album, Vespertine. i think you can buy it on her website.

bjork. most people know about bjork, i think. icelandic singer-songwriter. wore a swan dress. beat up a couple of photographers. blah blah blah. before she went solo, she was in two bands: an anarchist punk band called KUKL (which i guess means ‘witchcraft’) and after that, a band called The Sugarcubes. i haven’t heard a whole lot of either of these bands, but what i’ve heard is VERY good. check ’em out.

and here’s what bjork had to say about the vespertine album:
“It sounds like a winter record. If you wake up in the middle of the night, and you go out in the garden, everything’s going on out there that you wouldn’t know about. That’s the mood I’m trying to get. Snow owls represent that very well.”

  1. man, she’s so NUTS but i would agree about the OWLS.

    i love her

  2. she is a bit NUTS, but that’s why she’s so cool. did you watch the kukl video? it’s really good.

  3. Bjork is one of the singers,That has a very unique and interesting voice,I do not think a deep voice,But surely it started kind of revolution,Her histrionics, see it coming from the soul, her spirituality on stage,Everything comes in a very special way.
