2 FREE GOLDEN VEINS SONGS!

Hello friends!

A lot has been happening lately, and we wanted to fill you all in. First off, the Golden Veins Singles Club (http://www.goldenveins.com/singlesclub.html) is about to begin. On September 14th, the first of 12 “digital 45s” will be released, with a new single coming out each subsequent month for a year. These digital singles contain an A-side and a B-side, as well as a remix. They will all be available for download individually as they’re released. However, joining the Singles Club offers even more material (plus it’s cheaper).

There are 4 levels of Singles Club membership, ranging from digital downloads of all 40 (at least) songs ($10), all the way up to a package which includes t-shirts, cassettes, LPs, personalized songs, and more (limited early bird price of $55). For more detailed info on the club, please visit http://www.goldenveins.com/singlesclub.html.

Even more exciting than finally releasing material is that we’re giving away the A and B-side from our first single, “Gravitational Collapse”. Our first A-side, “Gravitational Collapse” is the aural equivalent of being lost in space – simultaneously ethereal, melancholic and exuberant. And there’s a whistling solo. The B-side, “Carcinogenic Kiss,” is a robo punk-funk kiss-off, which begins with bile and ends in tears.

To download these tracks, just go to http://www.goldenveins.com/gifts.html.

And while at the site, you can also hear the 4 remixes (by Adam Robert Haug, Mil, and Matt Bad) that are included with the “Gravitational Collapse” single, as well as aural teaser trailers for the first 12 songs, so you can get an idea of what’s to come.

That’s all the news for now, but there’s new work being done as I type this, so expect more emails in the near future!

Thanks for being rad dudes!

Luv,

Golden Veins

Beati Paoli: Songs, Shows, and the Studio

I know it’s been a while since we’ve posted any NEWS about The Noising Machine. Sorry. But at least there have been plenty of good posts to take the place of this boring old label nonsense. Don’t believe me?! Check these out:

70 Aspects of Batman

National Game Registry

Early Jim Henson Work

Canon Sonique: An Mixtape

Now back to the news…

Here is a message from Beati Paoli about what they’re up to:

We just uploaded another song from the split 7″ and mini-album, “Quid Pro Quo”, to the myspace:

http://www.myspace.com/beatipaoli.

The track, “Detonated City (Skeletal Steel Mix)”, is a remix we did of an Aeon Grey song. You can find the original version on “Quid Pro Quo” as well!

You can also download some of the songs from this and past releases, as well as stream pretty much everything we’ve released at:

http://www.beatipaoli.net/audio.html

AND… we have an unfinished mix of a brand new song, “Zenith/Nadir”, up at:

http://www.beatipaoli.net/sneakpeaks.html

Finally, in other news… we are playing a show on Saturday (Oct.3rd) with Broken Spindles, Pharmacy Spirits, Blutiger Fluss. It’s gonna be a good one, I think!!!

After this show, we’re gonna go hibernate like the mighty grizzly. However, unlike that unproductive waste of space, WE are going to be recording like CRAZY and will have a new album or two by the time the ground thaws.

Don’t worry, though, we’ll be keeping everyone up to date with what’s going on during this time.

Luv,
Scott

Here’s the flier for the show on Saturday, see you all there!

Welcome D R U I D S and watch a Wet Chemistry video

i just wanted to take a moment to tell everyone about another new addition to the noising machine family; a couple of cute boys with the pseudonym:
“D R U I D S”

it’s definitely a large step away from our other new comrades, Wet Chemistry, and not exactly similar to Beati Paoli or MCKNGBRD, but at the same time, i think these four bands fit together very nicely. it might be that all The Noising Machine artists seem to come packaged with a similar frame of mind, or maybe it’s just that they all write music that i love, and you have to be me to see the connection. either way, i think it makes sense. you can check them out at http://www.myspace.com/druids666. so far, they only have one live song available to listen to, but there’s a full length studio album currently in the works, so be prepared. AND IN OTHER NEWS… Wet Chemistry was on Scented Vinyl a short ways back, and we now have a video from that appearance up on our myspace (http://www.myspace.com/thenoisingmachine). swing on over there and check it out. thenoisingmachine related posts:

Beati Paoli on rateyourmusic.com

i was just notified today that Beati Paoli is on rateyourmusic.com (http://rateyourmusic.com/artist/beati_paoli).

rateyourmusic.com is something i think greg and possibly tony would be really interested in. it’s both a database of recorded music, an organizational tool, and a social networking site. you see… basically… you set up a profile and then add, from their database, all the albums, eps, singles, bootlegs, etc that you have in your personal collection. you can also look up specific albums to read reviews and see what other people rate them. this is all fun and interesting, but the parts of the site that i find to be the most fun are these:

1.) you can compare your musical tastes with others. you can automatically find people with similar collections as well as compare the ratings you’ve given with the ratings others have given.

2.) you can view various statistics about the music in a collection. for example: breakdown by rating, rating by decade, or ownership by decade, format, or release type. there are also top releases for every year and other fun charts and lists to browse.

i (scott) decided to make a profile today. you can check me out at: http://rateyourmusic.com/~MCKNGBRD. i haven’t had time to add my whole collection yet (i’ve only gotten through the “B’s” so far), and haven’t actually RATED the majority of what i’ve added, but i’ll have it all up eventually. let’s be friends! :*

in conclusion, check out beati paoli’s page: http://rateyourmusic.com/artist/beati_paoli.
