The first of the great arcade beat-em-up/brawlers, launching a trend that would dominate arcades for the next five years. Unlike most later brawlers Double Dragon is full of platforming, vertical scrolling, and opportunities to trick enemies into falling into pits, killing each other, etc..

Double Dragon was inducted on August 23rd, 2009.
