Marble Madness is a truly innovative game, sharing little resemblance to any previous release. A trackball-controlled marble races through mazes and tracks within strict timelines. The marble’s programming is impressive as it rolls down hills, struggles to climb them, dissolves in acid pools, and smashes into bits after a hard fall. There are only six stages but completing them is a challenge. The excellent music is simultaneously catchy and slightly menacing.

Marble Madness was inducted on May 25th, 2009.
